Expertise

Eve is an associate in the firm’s corporate and commercial team who works closely with Cynthia Sica (Partner). She assists clients in a diverse range of industry sectors including automotive, technology, construction, retail, agriculture and advises clients on matters including commercial contracts, compliance, technology, privacy, data, franchising and ACL.

Eve is committed to understanding her clients’ needs and applying her strong problem solving and analytic skills to navigate and resolve complex legal challenges. She is known for her dedication, responsiveness, critical thinking and thorough approach when solving novel legal issues.

Eve is a bilingual lawyer and fluent in English and Mandarin.

Prior to joining SBA Law, Eve worked in a commercial law firm in Melbourne and in the in-house team of a global Fintech company.

Education

Eve holds a Juris Doctor from University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Arts (linguistics and literature) from Southwest University (in China).

Experience

Eve’s recent corporate and commercial transactions include:

  • Assisting Toyota, Lexus and other leading car brands with various commercial arrangements and advising them on compliance issues in relevant regulated areas
  • Advising a public listed IT, business and management consulting group on major technology infrastructure projects
  • Advising a leading education online platform on privacy and data issues
  • Advising a national retailer group on IT services procurement
  • Advising various clients on compliance with Australian privacy law and drafting terms and conditions and privacy policies
  • Advising various technology companies on a broad range of commercial contracts (e.g. SaaS contracts) with business partners and clients
  • Assisting clients with reviewing their standard T&Cs, credit application forms, operational documents in view of relevant legal sectors and law reforms (e.g. unfair contract law reform)
