Expertise

Andrew is a Partner in the firm’s commercial litigation and dispute resolution team.

He has over 18 years of experience of practising in commercial litigation, predominantly in the Supreme and Federal Courts and in the appellate jurisdictions in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.

He has expertise in advising on partnership disputes and disputes between joint venturers, Corporations Law matters, oppression proceedings, matters arising upon cessation of employment, such as restraints of trade as well as professional negligence actions. He has extensive experience in obtaining urgent injunctive relief on behalf of clients across several jurisdictions.

He has experience in insolvency matters, including in some of the largest liquidator’s examinations. Andrew has a considerable practice in cross-border insolvencies and has acted for Australian insolvency practitioners in assisting local lawyers in seeking relief in matters in Hong Kong, Singapore, the USA, the UK, Switzerland, Israel, the British Virgin Islands, Guernsey and Jersey.

His clients include professional services firms, insolvency practitioners, high net-worth individuals and their related interests and company directors.

He is well known for providing astute strategic advice, careful analysis and obtaining commercial and cost-saving results.

He has considerable corporate governance experience through not only providing advice professionally in this area, but also by serving on committees of various clubs and organisations for over 17 years.

He has acted for, amongst others The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Vic), the Fred Hollows Foundation, Medicins Sans Frontieres and Vision Australia.

Education

Andrew holds degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from Monash University.
