Expertise

Adam is an associate in the firm’s real estate team and advises clients in a broad range of property law matters, including acquisitions and disposals, sub-divisions, off the plan sales, and commercial and retail leasing and licensing.

Adam also assists the corporate and commercial partners with the real estate and leasing aspects of business sale and purchase agreements and share sale agreements, and the litigation partners in advising on property law matters in dispute.

Education

Adam holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) and a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University.

Experience

Adam’s recent transactions include:

  • Assisting on the sale of the Montague Group to Pomona Valley, a subsidiary of Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (with the Corporate and Commercial Team)
  • Advising a national air-conditioning wholesaler and distributor with its leasing restructuring and compliance requirements in a complex tenancy mix across multiple jurisdictions
  • Advising a retirement village in relation to the disposal of its property holdings as part of a larger commercial business sale
  • Advising a broad range of clients, including retail, shopping centre, hotel, childcare centre, service station, and charity clients, in a number of acquisition, disposal and leasing transactions
  • Advising a public authority in relation to a co-licensing of its office space
  • Advising charities with their property acquisitions and disposals, as well as applying for and securing land tax exemptions in relation to their landholdings
  • Undertaking extensive property due diligence on several high value commercial sites in greater Melbourne for prospective bidders in expression of interest campaigns
  • Advising on high value residential and commercial sales and purchases
  • Advising developer clients in relation to owners corporation requirements and duties
