Jake is an associate in the firm’s commercial litigation and dispute resolution team. Jake has assisted with a broad range of high profile and complex disputes, having acted for various clients including ASX and publicly listed companies, government entities and individuals in the High Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia and various State Supreme Courts and Courts of Appeal.
Jake’s experience encompasses an array of legal matters, including those involving equity and trusts, contracts, torts, leases, director’s duties, defamation and competition and consumer law. Jake has also assisted with advising clients in relation to their regulatory obligations, in particular in the energy and resources sector.
In assisting clients, Jake focusses on providing clear and commercial advice to assist clients to achieve an outcome that is tailored to meet their needs and which takes into account the commercial and legal realities of today’s world.
Jake joined SBA Law in September 2018 after practising in the commercial litigation team of a national law firm in Adelaide for approximately four years.
Jake holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Adelaide, where he won a prize in Environmental Law.
