Kelly Powers

Kelly Powers is a commercial litigation lawyer who works closely with Sam Bond and Jeffrey Appel. She is experienced in the areas of contractual and general commercial dispute resolution, debt recovery, insurance, and property and building disputes.

Kelly has a particular interest in insolvency and reconstruction and is currently enrolled in the Insolvency Education Program under the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia.

Kelly prides herself in providing legal services which are practical, accessible and geared towards what the client wants to achieve.

As well as running her own files, she assists other members of the practice and has been involved in high profile cases one of which is the “Centro” litigation in the Federal Court, as well as many various insolvency files such as liquidators’ and trustees’ examinations, insolvent trading claims as well as preference claims on behalf of liquidators. She has conducted matters in all Victoria jurisdictions, the Federal Court as well as in VCAT.

In her spare time, Kelly is a volunteer director/company secretary for the Seddon Community Bank, as well as spending as much time as possible either at the gym or travelling.
